Farms around Immokalee produce tomatoes that are well-regarded across South Florida. The Immokalee Seminole Reservation and casino is located there. The Audubon Society's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is nearby. Immokalee is the birthplace of Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl running back Edgerrin James and his cousin University of Miami running back Javarris James.
