Fish Camp (formerly, Happy Camp and Berry's Fish Camp) is an unincorporated community in Mariposa County, California. It is located 18 miles (29 km) east of Mariposa, at an elevation of 5062 feet (1543 m). Fish Camp is on Highway 41 in California. It is located just south of the entrance to Yosemite National Park, and several miles north of the town of Oakhurst in Madera County. It is the site of Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, a heritage tourist line. The ZIP Code is 93623. The community is inside area code 559. The Fish Camp post office opened in 1924, closed in 1933, and re-opened in 1939. The name comes from a fish hatchery at the place. It is also near the town of Bass Lake. About 1 mile north of Fish Camp is the Summerdale campground, the original location of Fish Camp.
