Brimson is an unincorporated community in Ault Township, St. Louis County, Minnesota, United States, located 50 miles northeast of the city of Duluth on County Highway 44. The population is approximately 40 people. County Highway 44 and County Road 547 are two of the main routes in the community. The community is located within the Cloquet Valley State Forest in St. Louis County. The Superior National Forest is also in the vicinity. Brimson has a volunteer fire department, but it only has access to water hauled by truck since there is no public water system. The community of Rollins is near Brimson.
