Wayside is an unincorporated community located near the intersection of Highways 1 and 438 in west central Washington County, Mississippi, United States. Also, on 9 October 2009 three mobile homes were destroyed and 16 houses were damaged, and many trees were knocked down. A fatality took place in a mobile home. Two others were injured due to an EF1 tornado. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 38780.
