Milesburg is a borough in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,187 at the 2000 census. Milesburg, as well as nearby Miles Township was named after Colonel Samuel Miles, who co-owned the Centre Furnace, along with Colonel John Patton and John Dunlop.
