Coalfield is an unincorporated community in Morgan County, Tennessee, United States. Coalfield is between Wartburg and Oliver Springs on Tennessee State Route 62. To the west are Frozen Head State Park and the community of Joyner, Tennessee. Coalfield's name reflects its history as a mining community. It was the site of Coalfield Camp No. 1 and Coalfield Camp No. 2. A Morgan County public school, the Coalfield School, is located in the community. It includes all grades from kindergarten to grade 12. The school use the Yellow Jackets as the mascot for its sports teams. Robert (Bob) Bennett is the current principal.
