Osceola is town in Penn Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2000 census. It is part of the South Bend–Mishawaka, IN-MI, Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town is named after Seminole fighter, Osceola. Osceola was not an actual chief within the tribes.
