Forest Park is a city in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. It is located approximately nine miles south of Atlanta and is part of the Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Marietta Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 21,447 at the 2000 census. A July 1, 2008 U.S. Census Bureau estimate placed the population at 21,726. Forest Park's area historical tornado activity is 76% greater than the overall U.S. average.
