Train accidents often occur because of human error, problems with the track, equipment, and/or signal. Oftentimes many people are injured because of train accidents. There are many factors that lead to a railroad accident and there are many people who may be liable. It is the responsibility of the railroad company to maintain the tracks and the train. But truck and car drivers are responsible if they do not follow laws that are intended to protect against accidents. White Cloud (meaning "Village Cloud-White") is a city in Doniphan County, Kansas, United States. It was named for James White Cloud, son of Chief White Cloud of the Iowa Tribe. The population was 239 at the 2000 census. White Cloud is the seat of government for the Iowa Reservation of Kansas and Nebraska. It is part of the St. Joseph, MO–KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. White Cloud is featured in episode 4 of the 2008 television documentary Stephen Fry in America. Some scenes from the 1973 movie, Paper Moon, were filmed in White Cloud.
