Train accidents often occur because of human error, problems with the track, equipment, and/or signal. Oftentimes many people are injured because of train accidents. Houston is a city in and one of two county seats of Chickasaw County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 4,079 at the 2000 census. The land on which Houston, MS resides was donated to the city by Judge Joel Pinson on the condition that it would be named for Sam Houston, a childhood friend. In 1909, Houston become home to the first Andrew Carnegie library in the state after then superintendent of schools, L.B. Reid wrote Mr. Carnegie of the need for a public library. Houston hosts the Mississippi Flywheel Festival both in April and September of every year.
