Choctaw is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, and a part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The population was 9,377 at the 2000 census. While Choctaw is located in the geographic center of Eastern Oklahoma County, it enjoys relative prosperity on the fringes of the urbanized eastern edge of Oklahoma City. Choctaw is the site of an annual "Oktoberfest" event put on every year by the city, Old Germany Restaurant and a large group of volunteers.
