Naco is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. Its population was 833 at the 2000 census. It is across the United States–Mexico border from Naco, Sonora. The Naco port of entry is open 24 hours per day. The present-day town of Naco, Arizona was established in the early 1900s. The area was originally settled by Opata Indians. Naco means "cactus" in the Opata language.
