Scotland is a city in Archer County in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the Wichita Falls, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 438 at the 2000 census. The town is named for its founder, Henry J. Scott. The historic 11-room J.H. Muerer House, with a wrap-around porch, is located in Scotland. Constructed in 1911, it was a residence for Roman Catholic priests.
