Blue Lake (formerly, Scottsville) is a city in Humboldt County, California, United States. Blue Lake is located on the Mad River 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Eureka, at an elevation of 131 feet (40 m). The population was 1,135 at the 2000 census.

What is utilities law?

Public utilities provide electric, gas, water or telephone service to customers in a specified area.
