Sturgis, Mississippi has hosted "Sturgis South", an all-bike motorcycle rally for the past 10 years. According to Scott Smith, former Mayor of Sturgis, in 2005 around 20,000 visitors attended that year's rally. The most recent was August 18–20, 2006 and features the music of Little Feat, Confederate Railroad, 38 Special and Charlie Daniels.
