Anderson is a city in McDonald County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,856 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Anderson has a historic one screen movie hall known as "The Flick. " The town is the location of the county high school, McDonald County High School. The town itself was established in the late 19th century.
