Throckmorton is a town in Throckmorton County, Texas, United States. The population was 905 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Throckmorton County. Bob Lilly, a Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys from 1961–74, was born in Throckmorton in 1939.
