The division shall issue, upon the recommendation of the board, a certificate to practice podiatric medicine to each applicant who meets the requirements of this chapter. Every applicant for a certificate to practice podiatric medicine shall comply with the provisions of Article 4 (commencing with Section 2080) which are not specifically applicable to applicants for a physician’s and surgeon’s certificate, in addition to the provisions of this article.
