Cremated Remains Disposer

Any cremated remains disposer who stores cremated remains in a reckless manner that results in either of the following is guilty of a public offense punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or by a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment:

(a) Loss of all or part of the cremated remains.

(b) Inability to individually identify the cremated remains.
