School Assessments of Buildings and Emergency Repairs Grant Program

Notwithstanding any other law, the funds provided to school districts from the School Facilities Emergency Repair Account pursuant to this article for the purpose of emergency repair grants shall not be used to do either of the following:
Notwithstanding any other law, the funds provided to school districts from the School Facilities Emergency Repair Account pursuant to this article for the purpose of emergency repair grants shall not be deposited into a school district deferred maintenance fund for purposes described in Section 17582.
(a) Supplant funds provided to local educational agencies for the deferred maintenance of school facilities pursuant to Sections 17584 and 17587.
(b) Be deposited into a school district deferred maintenance fund for the purposes established pursuant to Section 17582.
