Expenditure for Direct Services to Pupils

Each school district that, in any fiscal year, receives any apportionment for any program specified in Section 63000 shall utilize no less than 85 percent of that apportionment at schoolsites for direct services to pupils. To the extent a school district chooses to transfer, pursuant to Section 41500, up to 15 percent of School and Library Improvement Block Grant funds, apportioned pursuant to Article 7 (commencing with Section 45170) of Chapter 3.2 of Part 24, a school district shall utilize no less than 85 percent of the amount remaining after the transfer for direct services to pupils.
A school district that, in a fiscal year, receives an apportionment for a program specified in Section 63000 shall use no less than 85 percent of that apportionment at schoolsites for direct services to pupils.
