Department of Agriculture Building Fund

If any money from the Department of Agriculture Building Fund is used to purchase property or construct buildings and appurtenant facilities for the use of the department, either alone or with any other state agency, or for investment purposes in connection with such purchase or construction, the director may do any and all things which are necessary to protect the investment or use, including the purchase of insurance against the loss of, or damage to, the property, or the loss of its use and occupancy.

Any transaction which is entered into by the director pursuant to this section is subject to the approval of the Department of General Services.
