The Agriculture and Services Agency is hereby renamed the State and Consumer Services Agency.
The State and Consumer Services Agency consists of the following: the Department of General Services; the Department of Consumer Affairs; the Franchise Tax Board; the Public Employees’ Retirement System; the State Teachers’ Retirement System; the Department of Fair Employment and Housing; the Fair Employment and Housing Commission; the California Science Center; the California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board; the California African American Museum; the California Building and Standards Commission; the Alfred E. Alquist Seismic Safety Commission; and the Office of Privacy Protection.
(a) There is in the state government the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency.
(b) The Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency shall consist of the following: the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Department of Real Estate, the Department of Housing and Community Development, the California Housing Finance Agency, the Civil Rights Department, the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Appeals Board, the California Horse Racing Board, the Department of Cannabis Control, and the Cannabis Control Appeals Panel.
(c) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2018.
