Normal Contributions

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the state or the Regents of the University of California may pay all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a state member. The payments shall be reported as employer-paid normal contributions and shall be credited to member accounts. Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the authority of the state to periodically increase, reduce, or eliminate the payment by the state of all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a state member, as authorized by this section.

This section shall be subject to any applicable collective-bargaining laws.
