Election on Creation of the Proposed County

Amended by Stats. 2025, Ch. 303, Sec. 12

Ballots at the election shall contain the question:

“Shall the new County of (insert the name of the proposed county) be formed?”

To the right of or below the question, the words “Yes” and “No” shall be printed on separate lines, with voting targets. If a voter marks the voting target next to the printed word “Yes,” the voter’s vote shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the formation of the new county. If the voter marks the voting target next to the printed word “No,” the voter’s vote shall be counted against its adoption.
