Whenever any judge of any court of this state is a witness in his official capacity as judge in any action or proceeding, such judge shall be entitled to be represented at such action or proceeding by counsel of his choice.
(a) Whenever any judge of any court of this state is a witness in an official capacity as judge in any action or proceeding, the judge shall be entitled to be represented at the action or proceeding by counsel of the judge’s choice, at the judge’s own expense.
(b) Representation of a judge at public expense is governed by the Government Claims Act (Division 3.6 (commencing with Section 810) of Title 1), including, but not limited to, Section 995.9.
