Known as the Public Insurance Adjusters Act

(a) In addition to the restrictions in subdivision (e) of Section 15027, a licensee shall not solicit a contract of engagement for residential properties under this chapter that are included in an area subject to a catastrophic disaster until seven calendar days have elapsed from the conclusion of a loss-producing occurrence as defined in subdivision (d) of Section 15027.

(b) Subdivision (a) shall not apply if the licensee is contacted directly by the insured or the insured’s representative.

(c) Nothing in subdivision (a) shall prohibit a licensee from providing a policyholder, without making personal contact with the policyholder, with accurate written materials explaining services provided by public insurance adjusters.
