Public Official Death Benefits

As of January 1, 2011
The person or persons to whom the special death benefit is payable pursuant to Section 4722 shall file a claim therefor with the State Board of Control, which shall be processed pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 900) of Part 2 of Division 3.6 of Title 1 of the Government Code.
The person or persons to whom the special death benefit is payable pursuant to Section 4722 shall file a claim therefor with the Department of General Services, which shall be processed pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 900) of Part 2 of Division 3.6 of Title 1 of the Government Code.
