The agency may enter into agreements with local, regional, and federal agencies, councils of government, and private organizations and contractors, and may receive and expend funds provided by those entities in support of comprehensive earthquake preparedness programs authorized by this chapter. The commission and agency shall seek assistance from appropriate federal agencies.
