The Secretary of the Resources Agency shall initiate a comprehensive, long-range planning process for the use of ocean waters offshore of California, may use the advisory panel appointed pursuant to paragraph (4) of subdivision (d) of Section 6217 as the planning committee, and may use the California Sea Grant Program to promote sound scientific data analysis and assessment in this planning process.
The Secretary of the Natural Resources Agency shall initiate a comprehensive, long-range planning process for the use of ocean waters offshore of California, may use the advisory panel appointed pursuant to Section 6231 as the planning committee, and may use the California Sea Grant Program to promote sound scientific data analysis and assessment in this planning process.
