(a) As used in this article, “aircraft” means any contrivance used for navigation of, or flight in, the air. “Aircraft” does not include a hot air balloon furnished or providing transportation for entertainment, sporting, or recreational purposes.

(b) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2013, and as of that date is repealed, unless a later enacted statute, that is enacted before January 1, 2013, deletes or extends that date.
