(a) No toll shall be imposed on the passage of a pedestrian or bicycle over any bridge that is under the jurisdiction of the district, on which the travel of pedestrians and bicycles is otherwise authorized.
(a) Except as provided in subdivision (b), no toll shall be imposed on the passage of a pedestrian, a bicycle, or a personal micromobility device, as defined in Section 1940.41 of the Civil Code, over any bridge that is under the jurisdiction of the district, on which the travel of pedestrians, bicycles, or personal micromobility devices is otherwise authorized.
(b) This section shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2021, and as of that date is repealed, unless a later enacted statute, that is enacted before January 1, 2021, deletes or extends that date.
(b) Subdivision (a) shall not apply if the bridge was under construction on or after January 1, 2025, and if the tolls are used to fund the cost of constructing the bridge.
