General Provisions

Known as the Arnold-Kennick Juvenile Court Law

Amended by Stats. 2019, Ch. 497, Sec. 291

(a) A person under the age of 14 years shall not be committed to a state prison or be transferred thereto from any other institution.

(b) Notwithstanding any other law, a person under the age of 16 years shall not be housed in any facility under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
