Community Support System for Persons Who are Homeless with a Mental Health Disability

Whenever a county believes that a mentally disabled person may be unable to manage his or her SSI/SSP funds, the county mental health program shall advise the person that he or she may have a trusted family member, relative or friend designated as their representative payee under the SSI/SSP program.
If a county believes that a person with a mental health disability may be unable to manage their SSI/SSP funds, the county mental health program shall advise the person that they may have a trusted family member, relative, or friend designated as their representative payee under the SSI/SSP program.
