Florida Greenways and Trails System

The Florida Greenways and Trails System shall be a statewide system of greenways and trails which shall consist of individual greenways and trails and networks of greenways and trails which may be designated as a part of the statewide system by the department. Mapping or other forms of identification of lands and waterways as suitable for inclusion in the system of greenways and trails, mapping of ecological characteristics for any purpose, or development of information for planning purposes shall not constitute designation. No lands or waterways may be designated as a part of the statewide system of greenways and trails without the specific written consent of the landowner.
