The Department of Management Services may implement a program to train state agency employees who are involved in managing outsourcings as Project Management Professionals, as certified by the Project Management Institute. For the 2006-2007 fiscal year, the sum of $500,000 in recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund is appropriated to the Department of Management Services to implement this program. The Department of Management Services, in consultation with entities subject to this act, shall identify personnel to participate in this training based on requested need and ensure that each agency is represented. The Department of Management Services may remit payment for this training on behalf of all participating personnel.
