Digital media; job training

Workforce Florida, Inc., through the Department of Economic Opportunity, may use funds dedicated for Incumbent Worker Training for the digital media industry. Training may be provided by public or private training providers for broadband digital media jobs listed on the targeted occupations list developed by the Workforce Estimating Conference or Workforce Florida, Inc. Programs that operate outside the normal semester time periods and coordinate the use of industry and public resources should be given priority status for funding.
CareerSource Florida, Inc., through the Department of Commerce, may use funds dedicated for incumbent worker training for the digital media industry. Training may be provided by public or private training providers for broadband digital media jobs listed on the occupations list developed by the Labor Market Estimating Conference or the Labor Market Statistics Center within the Department of Commerce and on other programs recommended and approved by the state board following a review by the department to determine the program’s compliance with federal law. Programs that operate outside the normal semester time periods and coordinate the use of industry and public resources must be given priority status for funding.
