Penalties; administrative fine

(1) The department may enter an order imposing one or more of the following penalties against any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or the rules promulgated hereunder or who impedes, obstructs, hinders, or otherwise prevents or attempts to prevent the department in the performance of its duty in connection with the provisions of this chapter: (a) Issuance of a warning letter. (b) Imposition of an administrative fine of not more than $1,000 per occurrence after the issuance of a warning letter. (c) Revocation or suspension of the registration as a seed dealer.
(1) The department may enter an order imposing one or more of the following penalties against a person who violates this chapter or the rules adopted under this chapter or who impedes, obstructs, hinders, or otherwise attempts to prevent the department from performing its duty in connection with this chapter: (a) For a minor violation, issuance of a warning letter. (b) For violations other than a minor violation: 1. Imposition of an administrative fine in the Class I category pursuant to s. 570.971 for each occurrence. 2. Revocation or suspension of the registration as a seed dealer.
(2) Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
