A title agent shall be required to have a separate appointment as to each insurer by which he or she is appointed as agent. As a part of each appointment there shall be a certified statement or affidavit of an appropriate officer or official of the appointing insurer stating that to the best of the insurer’s knowledge and belief the applicant, or its principals in the case of a corporation or other legal entity, has met the requirements of s. 626.8417.
