Fla. Stat. § 628.901

“Captive insurer” defined

For the purposes of this part, except as provided in s. 628.903, a “captive insurer” is a domestic insurer established under part I to insure the risks of a specific corporation or group of corporations under common ownership owned by the corporation or corporations from which it accepts risk under a contract of insurance.
