Effect on prior adoption proceedings

As of January 1, 2011
Any adoption made before the effective date of this act shall be valid, and any proceedings pending on the effective date of this act are not affected thereby.
Any adoption made before July 1, 2012, is valid, and any proceedings pending on that date and any subsequent amendments thereto are not affected thereby unless the amendment is designated as a remedial provision.
