(1) The superintendent shall designate a person or persons who shall have custody of the optical scanning tabulators of the county or municipality when they are not in use at a primary or election and shall provide for his or her compensation and for the safe storage and care of the optical scanning tabulators.
(1) The superintendent shall designate a person or persons who shall have custody of the ballot scanners of the county or municipality when they are not in use at a primary or election and shall provide for his or her compensation and for the safe storage and care of the ballot scanners.
(2) All optical scanning tabulators, when not in use, shall be properly covered and stored in a suitable place or places.
