A person who uses or displays for use any commercial weighing and measuring device, as defined in section 215.26, shall secure a license from the department.
1. A person who uses or displays for use any commercial weighing and measuring device must be issued a license by the department for that device. The department shall issue the license after inspecting the device.
2. a. Except as provided in paragraph “b”, a license issued under subsection 1 shall expire on December 31 of each year.
b. A license issued under subsection 1 for a motor fuel pump shall expire on June 30 of each year.
