Transfer of appropriations made to institutions

Notwithstanding section 8.39, subsection 1, without the prior written consent and approval of the governor and the director of the department of management, the director of human services may transfer funds between the appropriations made for the institutions, listed as follows:

4. The civil commitment unit for sexual offenders.
d. The civil commitment unit for sexual offenders.
Section amended
2. The department shall report any transfer made pursuant to subsection 1 during a fiscal quarter to the legislative services agency within thirty days of the beginning of the subsequent fiscal quarter.
