Voluntary public patient — physician’s or physician assistant’s report

A physician filing information under section 225.10 shall include a written report to the regional administrator for the county of residence of the person named in the information, giving a history of the case as will be likely to aid in the observation, treatment, and hospital care of the person and describing the history in detail.
A physician or a physician assistant who meets the qualifications set forth in the definition of a mental health professional in section 228.1 shall submit a detailed history of the case to an administrative services organization as will be likely to aid in the observation, treatment, and hospital care of the person.
