If a person’s legal settlement is determined in accordance with section 230.2 or 230.3 to be in a foreign state or country, or is unknown, the court or the county shall immediately certify the determination to the administrator. The certification shall be accompanied by a copy of the evidence supporting the determination. A court order issued pursuant to section 229.13 shall direct that the patient be hospitalized at the appropriate state hospital for persons with mental illness.
