Regents’ minority and women educators enhancement program

The board of regents shall establish a program to recruit minority educators to faculty positions in the universities under the board’s control. The program shall include, but is not limited to, the creation of faculty positions in all areas of academic pursuit.
1. The board of regents shall establish a program to recruit minority educators to faculty positions in the universities under the board’s control. The program shall include but is not limited to the creation of faculty positions in all areas of academic pursuit.
The board of regents shall also establish a program to create faculty opportunities for women educators at the universities under the board’s control. The program shall include, but is not limited to, the creation of faculty positions in targeted shortage areas. The board of regents shall also develop and implement, in consultation with appropriate faculty representatives, tenure, promotion, and hiring policies that recognize the unique needs of faculty members who are principal caregivers to dependents.
2. The board of regents shall also establish a program to create faculty opportunities for women educators at the universities under the board’s control. The program shall include but is not limited to the creation of faculty positions in targeted shortage areas. The board of regents shall also develop and implement, in consultation with appropriate faculty representatives, tenure, promotion, and hiring policies that recognize the unique needs of faculty members who are principal caregivers to dependents.
As used in this section, “minority educator” means an educator who is a minority person as defined in section 261.102.
3. As used in this section, “minority educator” means an educator who is a minority person as defined in section 256.214.
