1. The department of public defense shall establish a military historical museum located at Camp Dodge which shall be known as the “Iowa gold star military museum”. The museum shall be administered by the adjutant general.

The adjutant general may appoint a museum director and such other personnel from the full-time equivalent positions authorized the department for the purposes of maintaining and operating the Iowa gold star military museum. The museum director shall have such responsibilities as may be assigned by the adjutant general.
