Trial of appeal

Said appeal shall be triable de novo as an equitable action without formal pleadings at any time after the expiration of twenty days following the filing of such transcript.
An appeal under section 349.11 shall be triable de novo as an equitable action without formal pleadings at any time after the expiration of twenty days following the filing of the transcript as provided in section 349.12.
