The trial of all appeals shall be public, and the parties may be represented by counsel or by the parties’ authorized collective bargaining representative.
The trial of all appeals shall be public, and the parties may be represented by counsel or by the parties’ authorized collective bargaining representative. However, upon the request of the employee, the deliberations of the commission in a city with a population of less than two hundred thousand shall be held in closed session.
